PFSCU operates under direct presidential authority with a formal governance structure designed for high-level coordination and ministerial accountability.
Presidential Authority
The PFSCU reports directly to His Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and operates with the mandate to coordinate food systems delivery across all tiers of government.
Steering Committee
The PFSCU SteerCo is a high-level, multi-stakeholder body driving coordinated national action on food systems. Chaired by the Vice President, it brings together key ministers, state governors, private sector leaders, and development partners. It provides strategic oversight and ensures Cabinet-level coordination.
